Bankbrokers is excited to announce a new partner to help us serve our Merchant Services clients in the United States
Matthew Reed has joined the Bankbrokers US team. He is a native Brit who has been living and working in the US for the past ten years.
Matt is a seasoned international businessman. He has spent most of his career in the financial services sector. Also, he has worked as a trade floor engineer for some of the best-known investment banks in the world.
Throughout his career, his work has enabled him to live in exciting places. This list includes locations such as Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, London, and San Francisco before settling in Sarasota, Florida.
A passion for coaching and helping other people
After 20 years, he made a life-changing career move to follow his passion for helping other people through his own start-up company supplying coaching services.
Matt became certified as a Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. This enabled him to bring his passion to life. In addition, he set up and ran fitness boot camps for a local Silicon Valley company.
His training and boot-camp work led to a role as a Physical Education Teacher for Basis Independent Schools in Silicon Valley and Phoenix, Arizona.
Also, The Functional Ageing Institute (FAI) has certified Matt. This means he has the most up-to-date techniques and strategies for fitness training with older adults.
In addition, he is a Senior Fitness Specialist (SFS) and Golf Specialist (GFS) with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. These achievements have helped him develop innovative, effective, science-based training programs for mature clients.
Skilled in lowering merchant services costs
Having run his own business for several years, Matt knows how important it is to watch your costs and manage them closely.
So, he is extremely excited to start working for Bankbrokers Merchant Services in the US. This means he can still follow his passion for helping people – only this time to reduce their merchant services costs.
Matt comments.
“The chance to help merchants in the US save money whilst working with my closest friend (Neil Fillbrook, President Bankbrokers North America) and the US team was too good an opportunity to pass up.”
Matt’s passion is networking, coaching, and connecting people, so we believe this is a perfect match at the right time in the right market.
He continues.
“I love connecting with people, also helping them and
BB Merchant Services. A ‘no saving, no fee’ proposition is something I feel strongly about as it’s so risk-free for any discerning CFO. Timing is right for this service as most companies in the US are currently seeking ways to cut costs at no cost.”
Also, in his downtime, Matt helps out at the Birds of Paradise Sanctuary in Bradenton, the Feeding Center for the homeless in downtown Sararsota and the Physical Therapy department for HeathSouth Hospital. In addition, he is an avid rugby fan and has played for teams in every country where he’s been posted.
Matt is married to his lovely wife, Naomi, and they share their home in Sarasota with Henley (a Great Pyrenees dog), Lukie (a Moluccan Cockatoo) and Reedy (a Ragdoll cat).
